From Diagnosis
to Protocol

Thinking Through Tick-Borne Illness Cases with Dr. Chris Turnpaugh

Live Clinical Webinar  |  Thursday, June 11, 2026  |  07:00 PM EST

Most patients with tick-borne illness are not undiagnosed because providers do not care. They are undiagnosed because the right testing question was never asked.

This session walks through two real case types. A molecular positive and a negative with high clinical suspicion and shows exactly how Dr. Chris Turnpaugh thinks through diagnosis, interprets Galaxy direct detection results, and builds a protocol.

About the Webinar

In this clinical webinar, Dr. Chris Turnpaugh, DC, DACNB, AFMCP, founder of Turnpaugh Health and Wellness Center and a nationally recognized expert in functional and integrative medicine walks through a practical, case-based framework for evaluating and treating tick-borne illness.

Most providers have a clinical instinct when they suspect a vector-borne pathogen. What they are often missing is a clear, step-by-step protocol for what to do with the diagnostic result whether it is positive, negative, or ambiguous.

Using Galaxy Diagnostics direct detection technology and Quicksilver Scientific’s phase-based protocol system, this session gives clinicians a reproducible framework they can apply immediately with complex patients.

Learnings

✔ Why serology answers a historical question and what direct detection answers instead

✔How to interpret a molecular positive: which pathogens were found and what protocol response is clinically appropriate

✔ How to navigate a negative result with high clinical suspicion when to treat empirically and how to document that decision

✔ How Galaxy’s Triple Draw BBB Direct Detect and Lyme Borrelia Direct Detect work, and when to use each

✔ The Quicksilver Scientific three-phase protocol (Prep and Detox, Anti-Microbial, Recovery) and how to adapt it case by case

✔ Why two phases of tick-borne illness often require two distinct treatment tracks

✔How to identify when immune dysregulation, not active infection, is the primary driver of ongoing symptoms

✔ The acute bookend: what to do in the first 72 hours after a tick bite, before chronic illness develops

Who Should Watch

✔ Integrative and functional medicine clinicians

✔ Naturopathic physicians

✔ Primary care providers managing complex chronic patients.

✔ Lyme-literate and vector-borne disease specialists.

✔ Any clinician who has received a direct detection result and wanted more guidance interpreting or acting on it

✔ Providers who currently use or are considering Galaxy Diagnostics testing

This session is intended for clinicians and licensed healthcare providers only.
