Great Podcast on Human-Animal Health Connection

Research interest in the links between human and animal health is increasing.  Many thanks go out to Dr. Barbara Natterson-Horowitz for kicking off a national dialogue with her recent book, Zoobiquity.

Pets on Time recently hosted a podcast interview with Dr. Natterson-Horowitz and several others involved through the One Health Initiative, including Cheryl Stroud who directs our local NC One Health Collborative and Roger Mahr,  CEO of the One Health Commission.

Zoonotic diseases play an important role in this area of medicine and may hold important answers to a number of medical mysteries concerning neurological, rheumatologic, and vascular systems.  We would like to see more medical researchers in human health, like Dr. Natterson-Horowitz, investigate the links between human and animal health.
